Joint Venture Partnership

July 2011. DTS Services and Geoguide Consultants Ltd of Henley on Thames, became joint venture partners, working together to provide the Oil and Gas industry with professional Land Transport Management Services, driver training.

Libya Update

March 2011. Prior to the commencement of the recent uprising in Libya DTS staff were on the ground preparing to provide driver training courses to its international clients.

As the situation developed the evolving DTS / LCM Oil and Gas Services threat and risk assessment indicated that the pre -prepared evacuation plan should be implemented and an orderly evacuation immediately ordered.

DTS analysts provided continuous situation reports and gave best choice safe window of opportunity for the evacuation.

At the request of LCM oil field services, DTS were given the responsibility of evacuating several hundred personnel and contractors from Tripoli and remote desert locations.

Crisis asset security management plans were concurrently implemented within the LCM oil field services, Tripoli regional HQ and at the various desert locations where LCM contractors were based.

All were timely evacuated by Land, Sea and Air without risk or incident.

That the operation was 100% successful can be attributed to the foresight of LCM in having in place crisis management plans which once again demonstrates their commitment to client safety. In what was a rapidly degenerating situation the calm professionalism of the DTS threat and risk assessment and operational teams won DTS accolades from several company executives and other staff who were not as fortunate during the ensuing chaos to be evacuated without long delays and considerable risk.

Training providers to Baker Hughes

June 2010. As a result of the Bp road safety campaign, DTS were asked by Baker Hughes to join a select group of training providers, who were to be assessed by Baker Hughes head of Logistical Training Mr Roger Pugh.

Of the six companies assessed DTS were the only company to gain the coverted status of third party training provider to Baker Hughes in Libya.

In addition to this, and because of the standard of our trainers we are now also delivering Bakers Hughes own defensive driving course to there employees in Arabic.

BP Libya

May 2010. We were invited by BP Libya to attend a forum of all of the major OGP's in Libya to discuss the ongoing and serious vehicle incident rates. The forum then formed a committee to arrange and present a three day safety event, DTS were elected to provide all of the expert subject matter on road safety and to also deliver many areas of the presentation throughout the campaign.

As a part of the BP Driver safety awareness campaign, DTS were tasked with delivering many of the practical training aspects.

DTS took the opportunity to deliver a part of their own Training package whereby in addition to the reasons why drivers must wear seatbelts, the driver was also shown;

  • Correct seating positon whilst driving.
  • The correct way to wear a seatbelt for optimum safety.
  • The affects to the human body after a 7kph impact.

Defensive driver training for KCA Deutag

April 2010 saw the commencent of a defensive driver training in libya for KCA Deutag, training was given in English and Arabic, This has become an ongoing contract with training now being extended too desert driver training, forklifts and crane operator licencing also.
